Chocolate Biscotii we go nuts for

INGREDIENTS

Enough for approximately 50 biscotti

  • 200g flour
  • 150g sugar
  • 60g cacao (or less depending on how intense you want the flavour to be)
  • 60g chocolate pieces/chips
  • 1 tbs baking powder
  • 1 tbs vanilla extract
  • 1/2 salt
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 100g cashews/ almonds or hazelnuts (or more)

Heat your oven at  180 degrees. Mix the flour, sugar, cacao, baking powder, salt and chocolate in a bowl. Add the beaten eggs and vanilla extract.  Mix well. When is all mixed well you should arrive with a composition that is very sticky.  Don’t worry you are on the right track!  Add the nuts, and shape the dough into 3 salami inspired figures. Use flour on the board and on your hands while doing this. Place them on a parchment lined tray and put them in the oven for 25 minutes. 

Once baked bring them out, let them cool off and then cut them into 1/2 inch thick slices. 

Place them back in the oven for another 15 minutes. 

Take them out and let them cool off. Enjoy!
